Terms of Use
The Archdiocese of Los Angeles, through the Archdiocese Administrative Office, operates and maintains the Archdiocesan Community E-Mail Services ("ACES") to facilitate communications among personnel at parishes, schools, administrative offices, other Archdiocesan locations and between those locations and third parties. ACES is centrally operated and maintained to allow all locations to communicate with each other as well as the general public as the authoritative electronic communications method for Archdiocesan operations.

By applying for an account on ACES you are automatically agreeing, without any further action by you, to the following terms of use:

  • (1) You will use your account only for legitimate business and evangelical communications purposes that are consistent with your duties in the Archdiocese.
  • (2) You will avoid and prevent the disclosure of your account information and the account information of other users of ACES from unauthorized parties. You may not develop and distribute lists of account e-mail addresses to parties outside of ACES without express written consent from the Archdiocese Administrative Office.
  • (3) You will regularly check your account for new emails that have been delivered.
  • (4) You will not attempt to disable, circumvent or inhibit any controls, software or other devices that enforce security and content policies on your account.
  • (5) You will abide by all other Electronic Communications Policies of the Archdiocese, in effect from time to time. A current version of the Electronic Communications Policy can be found at http://policy.la-archdiocese.org
  • (6) You understand and agree that all communications within ACES may be monitored by Archdiocesan staff for administrative purposes and that communications are not guaranteed to be confidential.
  • (7) You acknowledge that the Archdiocese is offering ACES as a service to all locations and intends to meet all reasonable standards in the operation and maintainance, but the system is subject to the risks inherent in all technology applications and, accordingly, there can be no guarantee of performance.

Any breach of these terms of use may result in:

  • The suspension or termination of your account.
  • Disciplinary actions up to and including termination of any employement or other assignment in the Archdiocese.
  • Civil and/or criminal complaints being filed against you.
